The Doctors

Dr. Jeremy Maxwell, D.C.

I grew up in Pleasanton, CA and graduated from Amador Valley High School in 1992. I then went to York, NE to attend York College on a soccer scholarship and to attain my under graduate studies in pre-Chiropractic. It was in York where I met my wife Shelby, who is from Rhinelander, WI. We married in August of 1995. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated in June of 1999. I had a practice in Fayette, MO., from April of 2001 through June 2018, and now practice in Columbia, MO., since 2005. We have 4 wonderful children Aiden, Myy, Emi and Zechman.

I absolutely love what I have been called to do, and that is to help families maximize their health potential through Chiropractic. No other profession gets to intimately work with the innate healing potential the Creator placed in each of us like the Chiropractic profession. Every day we get to witness lives changing and health improving by turning on the power of the human body through spinal corrections. When the brain and body can talk without interruption, the Creator’s design can do what is was designed to do and that is to heal on its own. We look forward to the opportunity of sharing our passion for living healthy full lives and taking part in your health goals.

In Health,
Dr. Jeremy Maxwell

My chiropractic story started with my mom. She had been suffering from chronic migraines, and fortunately our neighbor recommended my mom to try their chiropractor. After finding relief from her daily migraines, my family began regular maintenance care with an upper cervical chiropractor. When we moved to Salisbury, Missouri we continued care with Dr. Jeremy Maxwell.

While I was in high school I made the decision to pursue Chiropractic as a career. I attended undergrad at North Lake College in Irving, Texas, and Parker University fro chiropractic training. At Parker I received my Bachelor's Degree in Human Anatomy, and in Health and Wellness. In 2017 I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic, and have been practicing in Salina, Kansas since.

Amy Smith - Office ManagerAmy Smith Office Manager

Amy has a bachelors degree in Biological Sciences and has always had an interest in natural sciences and nutrition. She homeschooled her three, now adult, children up to high school. She loves spending time with her family and on the farm with her animals. She became a patient of Dr. Jeremy's in 2003, and worked occasionally to cover for his previous CA, Ruth Barber. She officially began working at Maxwell Family Chiropractic in 2005 as Dr. Jeremy opened a Columbia office part-time. In 2008 she took over the position of Office Manager in both the Columbia and Fayette offices.

Clarice Jones - Social Media and MarketingClarice Jones Social Media & Marketing

My family moved to Ashland, MO from the Kansas City area the end of 2004, about six months after we had been in a car accident. When I was in middle school my family went to the same church as Amy, and she had suggested we see Dr. Jeremy even though it had been several years since the accident. So, my siblings and I got to be the guinea pigs, and I'm here to tell you that we all survived, we're functioning members of society, and my whole family has been healthier since.

I've stayed under care through years of injuries, from dance mishaps, to more fender benders, to even just maintenance care, especially as an athelete. My senior year of high school I began working here part time and have since grown into a full time position. I've been blessed to not only have the opportunity to take an active role in my own health, but also to discover my love of Social Media Marketing, and to be a part of growing with Maxwell Family Chiropractic. I also enjoy music, and spending time with my dogs.

Heidy Ferguson - CA

Hey y'all, I'm Heidy. I'm currently a student at Moberly Area Community College majoring in business. I enjoy riding horses, playing with my dogs, Duke, Rosco, Myra, and Moe, going to concerts, and spending time with my friends and family. I became a patient of Dr. Maxwell's when I was 14 years old due to a cheerleading accident. I have stayed with Maxwell Family Chiropractic ever since. The atmosphere in the office is welcoming and fun. I'm so happy I can be a part of Maxwell Family Chiropractic.
